John P. Schaffer

1922 - 2016

John worked in architecture for many years before deciding on a different path for his career. John decided to pioneer a new concept as the first independent specifier in the Rocky Mountain west and one of the first in the nation. While there were a few dedicated specifiers working at very large firms, many offices lacked the technical expertise in this evolving form of documentation. John wanted to harvest his technical knowledge, specification preparation knowledge and dedicated resources to offer firms cost effective independent consulting services not currently available. John's success gained him a reputation in the industry and he served as the CSI Denver Chapter president.

J.D. Willis

1933 - 2015

J.D. worked with John for over a decade as a partner in an architectural practice. It was only a few months after John started his new endeavor that he invited J.D. to join him. J.D. became well known for his vast technical knowledge and ability to create industry leading specifications. The commitment to quality services maintained the stability of the company over the course of many economic downturns and industry changes. The foundation laid remains with the company today.
